The Bantham Swoosh - Open Water Fundraiser

Introducing the Bantham Swoosh

Hi,

I'm writing from the charity Level Water.  We provide free one-to-one swimming lessons to children with disabilities all over the UK.

Last year 130 people swam 10 kilometres down the river Dart, all fundraising for Level Water. The Dart is swimming's version of the London Marathon, organised by the Outdoor Swimming Society.  It's more of an experience than a race, and has a great festival atmosphere at the end.  Our swimmers raised over £40,000, helping us expand to ten new cities around the UK.

Level Water is proud to announce that we are an official charity partner of the Bantham Swoosh. Entries will open to the public in the next two weeks and will sell out in minutes.

Sign up now to secure your half-price place with Level Water.

Level Water is a charity that teaches disabled children to swim. We will send you training kit (sports bottles and swimming hats), charity t-shirts and provide support at the event. All we ask is that you aim to raise £250 of sponsorship – and we promise to spend your fundraising on one-to-one swimming lessons for disabled children.

The Guardian has described the Swoosh as a watery rave. It takes place on one of the most beautiful stretches of water in the UK and is more of an experience than a race. You start surrounded by hills and finish along stunning landscape by the edge of the sea, aided by the current that 'swooshes' you down the last kilometre. The finish line is Bantham Beach where you celebrate your epic swim with a festival on Devon’s most iconic family surfing beach. If you’re comfortable in the water now, swimming 6 kilometers in June is a totally achievable challenge - the Swoosh is a perfect introduction to a long open water swim. There are event specific training guides to help you. It's professional and safe, with lifeguards along the route.

Swim the Swoosh for Level Water on Saturday 24th June 2017. There are great campsites, hotels and apartments available in the area, and it’s an absolutely beautiful place to spend the weekend with family and friends.

If you or someone you know would be interested in taking part, email me by 14th February so we can hold a place for you before we publicly advertise the event.

We send out offers like this 4-5 times a year. If you would prefer not to hear from us please click unsubscribe below.

Thank you,
